This forum refers to minimum requirements that don't exist!!!

I have registered on this forum in order to promote my new book but when I try to create a post with a link to it, it displays an error message that I cannot post it because I don't meet the minimum requirements for this forum. However there is no minimum requirement displayed anywhere on this website.

Therefore I have a suggestion to the administrator of this website: if you want to attract people to your website, don't do everything you can to make them run away!

The forum is for readers and writers to share their (re)views of the books they have read. Promotion of your own work is only allowed on this part of the forum. You do, however, need a minimum of ten posts to be able to post links.

I don't see how this policy and the existence of a subforum purposely created for authors to promote their work chases people away.

For the record, I have an extremely low opinion of anyone who joins here with the sole intention of hawking their book.

As noted, our policy is to not cater to drive by self promotion members but to those that actually wish to participate in the forum.
