In my usual time wasting/work avoiding way I've just been reading "the make friends thread" from back in April. It was very good and I'd like to thank everybody who took part.

umm, i have suppressed my confusion for a couple of days. but i just took the risk of being laughing at, and asked for some clues.

in one thread, you mentioned "freedom is slavery". i found it disappointing, because i have been thinking that if i floundered through all the confusions, then at last, i could probably see the beautiful garden of freedom. now it seemed that i was unexpectedly struck by your stick. according to your words, then there is nothing one can pursue for? well, i don't know. kinda lost.

I'm afraid you weren't on that thread Watercrystal. The guilty people who posted 344 times over 23 pages were:Sandra, Stella Leanna, Silly Wabbit, Bobby Burns, Martin, Litany, Ashlea, Warm Enema, Phil T, Fluffy Bunny & RaVeN.
It was very funny and I wonder if any of the engagements worked out.

"Nor stony tower, nor walls of beaten brass, Nor airless dungeon, nor strong links of iron, Can be retentive to the strength of spirit; But life, being weary of these worldly bars, Never lacks power to dismiss itself." - William Shakespeare

repression of freedom is not found in walls, a cage, iron bars that slash the sky, dusty books full of rules, police and soilders on the street, tiny minds and vicious toungs either. The only place that freedom dwells is in your heart, in your mind and in your soul. They cannot take it from you. Not now. not never. It's yours forever as you breathe.

Regardless of everything be it a democracy ( HA! if such a thing exists ) or a totolatarian state, there are those that are free in their hearts, minds and spirits and go though life as such. There will always be those that are slaves to their own small minds, cold hearts, fearful souls and lack of desire and appetite for life.

Freedom is in your head. If you let the world cage you, if you let your spirit be bound down with the chains of opression, fear, or strife then you will not be free.

No, we are in a totolatarian state :D

Notice the cameras everywhere and that loony dictator Blair in power! Errr, that's politics? Ahem... slinks off into the dark...
