Title clash for e-books

Hi,

I just finished compiling an e-book. It's an how-to e-book on writing and publishing e-books. Now I want to give a proper title for that book. I want to name it "Write your own e-book in 7 days". I wonder if someone else has written an e-book with the same title. Is there any way I can check out on this?

I don't want to engage in any legal battle over such a small material. How do all those who write so many e-books give titles for their e-books? Is there any web source I can check out to avoid such title clashes? What can I do in case of such title clash?

Please help me and your help will never be forgotten. That's a promise.

Thanks,
Prashanth

Well, if you aren't done with the book, that information should definitely be included. There is no copyright on book titles in the U.S., UK or Australia (don't know about non-English countries). Many e-books are available on a company called "FictionWise". It's one of the prime sites for e-book sales. You might also check Amazon.com and do a title search, or simply do a Google of that title and look at the first 30-50 results. Also check Abebooks.com for that title. They do used and rare books, so if it's a small company, or self-pubbed title, it might show up there.

Good luck!
