To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

I'm suddenly reminded of this movie while I was driving, and wondered if you've seen this.

This has to be one of the funniest movies I've seen, and definitely one of my favourites. Patrick Swayze is totally ugly in drag, and wasn't totally convincing for me, though he's one of my favourite actors. John Leguizamo is totally brilliant, as he always is when he's in drag. He's sooo bloody funny. But the one whom I'm thoroughly impressed with is Wesley Snipes. He's all muscles and angles, and is just the ugliest of the 3, but the way he played the part made me laugh so hard. It's like he took on the role simply to blow his tough guy stereotype, and to show his range. Well, there wasn't much range anyway, but it was very entertaining.

Who else likes this show?

OMG, I thought I was the only person on the planet that saw this.

John Leguizamo was fabulous and Wesley Snipes totally unexpected. The story was pretty generic, but it was very entertaining and funny because of the actors cast.

You and another 10 people (coz I saw it about 10 times).

Have you seen Leguizamo's short-lived stint on TV? I think it was called House of Buggin (a quick jaunt to IMDB). I remember it was so funny - he definitely is brilliant in a drag.

The more I think of it the more I feel Snipes is so funny. It's like he purposely didn't take himself seriously for the role, and he must have know he looks *weird*.

"Little latin boy in drag, why are you crying?"

Freak

I didn't see his TV show, but saw his one-man show, Freak, on cable. Absolute genius. It was semi-autobiographical and was both hilarious and touching at the same time. If you ever get a chance, try to catch it.

i have seen the movie as well and i too, laughed my guts out and even remember being a little sad at the end...god, it's ben years since i've seen it....yes the 3 together were equally disturbing as women, but just a hoot to watch!!

from what i can remember, didn't patrick swayze become friends with a woman in a bad relationship, and patrick's character helped her? i dunno, i can't really remember exactly..i think i felt sad for the woman...who knows? none the less, a truly hilarious movie....!!
