Transformers, robots .. in .. disguise!

You beat me to it! I was gonna post about this! :D

Yeah, it's cool

I had the toys when I was a kid and I liked the old cartoons.

The Transformers are classic. To be honest, I'm fearing the worst for this (Michael Bay?), but I am very very curious to see how they're gonna do this.

Cheers

I used to watch Transformers all the time when i was a kid. Even though the movie probably will be bad i think i gotta go see it.

Ooooh Transformers and Thundercats - I loved them both :D

I'm another one who had the Transformers toys as a child :) (and the dvd's when they were released  )

No, he was merely a tad friendly with the near naked men under his command ... they liked to hit the communal showers after a hard days fighting evil!! :D

I loved both He-Man and Transformers (and Starcom as well, if we must go there), but I was never all that into Thundercats.

did any of you watch voltron? the one with the cats, not the other one? loved voltron.defender of the universe. i had all the figures.

Jenn, you had robot figures??? Wow - I thought this was strictly boys stuff. Weren't you supposed to be playing with dolls or something? :D

There were a couple of Voltrons I remember. The one you mentioned had 5 cats becoming one. There's also another Voltron with 13 assorted vehicles becoming one. They were originally Japanese cartoons and I used to watch them when I was a kid when they were dubbed in Cantonese and brought over from Hongkong. It used to be cool if you've watched robot cartoons and swapped stories in school.

Loved Transformers and Thundercats. The Trial of Lion-O was one of their better story arcs, and then when the new members joined things got really interesting.

He-Man and She-Ra? I think I can still remember He-Man's opening jingle. :D

Then there was The Mask, Bionic Six (my absolute favourite, this one!).

no i was very much and am still i guess a tomboy. i had the all the cat figures to make the one giant robot, i never liked the one with the cars.
i had all guy friends as a kid and played dungeons and dragons all through junior high. even when my interest in boys started i always dressed like eddie vedder as opposed to the girls trying to get him. ;)

I agree. Who is this movie supposed to appeal to? Little kids? Or those of us who watched it when we were little kids?

For some reason I'm picturing something along the lines of the Batman & Robin disaster.
