So I was reading about travel reading on another board. No, not books about travel but books that you like to read when traveling that inspire you to have unique experiences. (Person to find where this was wins 5 internets.)
Personally, I just grab something off of my to be read pile that I think I can finish by the end of my trip and that also fits conveniently in my messenger bag.
Have any of you travelers read You Shall Know Our Velocity by Dave Eggers? The main character, Will, plans to travel around the world in a week giving away money. It's not the travel aspect of the book I mention, which is pretty good, but that when Will packs for his trip, instead of taking the book he wants to read, he rips out the number of pages he thinks he is going to read and takes the partial book with him.
I hope none of you do that.
Oh, and if you haven't read You Shall Know Our Velocity, you probably should.
