Veterans' Day

Thank you to all who have served their country with honor.

Happy Veterans' Day !!!!

I wish I was thanking them with a holiday but my company does not give us this day off....

My kids don't have school though, and I'm sure they will thank you for that...

My kids don't have school today either, but the neighbor kids do! My dh's great grandfather served in WW1 in France. My dad was in Korea..

My dad was a Marine (Vietnam), my grandfather was a Marine (WWII Pacific), my grandmother was a Marine (WWII Womens Reserve). It's funny when I tell people in person, because Marines are supposed to be so tough, and I'm so puny.

I'm working today, but we had a veterans day speaker and pledge of allegiance in the morning. My town has a very large number of veterans in every conflict. Even in the present one, there is about 30 in this town of roughly 1300.

my school had a "special video" done by one of the students to hold tribute to the veterans. it was very well done considering that it left me a little teary eyed

My brother just got back from Iraq earlier this year (Ranger), my father and mother Vietnam (Army) and my grandfather diedon the NY docks during WWII loading ships for the government.

My father goes to Washington DC and walks the wall.
