Oh, Charles de Lint. My vote goes to the book by an author from my adoptive city! Quills and Quire said that he is "one of Canada's best-kept literary secrets". Well, could this be my time to discover him?

After looking all of them on the internet I found out that only The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula LeGuin is translated in portuguese. The only one I had heard of was Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston and I was divided between it and The Known World by Edward P. Jones. The decisive factor was the price, so my vote is on The Known World by Edward P. Jones.

I feel I have to be honest and admit that I will only participate in this BOTM in case the winner is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, The Known World by Edward P. Jones (both books I don't mind buying) and The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula LeGuin (that I can borrow from the library).

With this I'm not trying to influence the voting, I'm just justifying why, in case one of the other books gets chosen, I wont be joining in the discussion.
