Waking Up

here's a little something I wrote today


water flows in rivers
the valley is new with life
the birds sing songs

water floats in the air
dusting the folliage
the dew sparkles

life begins again
coming out of hibernation
once sleeping now awake

the caterpillar slept
waking as an angelic being
after sheding his wrapper

I almost gave up
but I really love writing poetry
