Do any of you know a web site that lists books that will be published within the next month in both hardback and paperback? How about an author tracker, so to speak, where I type in the name of an author and I get what books he/she intends to publish in the near future, next month or two? I hate being taken by surprise when I visit my local book store.

I'm with Stewart. I've never heard of a site that does that across the board. I'd try the publishers' websites. If you are looking for a specific author you could try their website, or even look it up on Amazon.

There IS a site like this: go to Books In Print. There's a check box for "forthcoming" titles, and you can search by author, keyword, title, or ISBN.
