I don't expect to see huge numbers, in a few sentences from people who supposedly worship the written form.

No, neither do I.

...one of you makes me look like a genius when it comes to spelling and grammer...

I think you're a long way off calling you a genius. I think an ostrich is a better analogy but rather than having your head stuck in the sand it's firmly wedged up your arse. :)

I am in no way judging anybody, or attacking people about spelling and grammar.

Neither am I. :D To use the defence that a couple of other members use when the heat comes down on them when they realise they may have gone to far and want to be liked: it's only a bit of fun.

I am in no way put off, disgruntled, disgusted, dismayed, or in any way offended by anything I have read here.

Good.

I find it all really great fun, and a new found entertainment.

I found a new entertainment too. ;)

That may be so (although it is rather hard to believe) but Halo is still a southerner!

I see that you are still delusional on this matter, Billy O. Beware, I fear that living in Notting Hill is having an adverse effect on your cognitive processes. :p

I like Stuart's reply, I was thinking of doing that myself but I'm being lazy at the moment.
I have no idea what Halo's on about as I don't read cockney.

i just want to say that this has been the most exciting thread i've been on to date. a good time was had by all.

Billy, I concede that you did travel in a southerly direction. However, you did not end up in the South of England when you reached Yorkshire. So there. :p

It used to be like this all the time but the moderators ganged up on several totally innocent people and banned them and others went into voluntary exile.
I try to keep the flame burning but it's a lonely and thankless task.

you are not alone. :)

i've never been on an internet forum before, but my husband belongs to one for archers and they fight all the time, it's great!!!! i am glad to see a little passion and hostility, even if it is about grammar. wouldn't my grade 7 english teacher be filled with pride....

Ok, I've checked your profile and you're not a bloody student or an accountant; you can be in our gang. But you've got to be really nasty to the moderators (especially Wabbit).

Ha! You know you want to ban me but you can't because I'm the last interesting person on TBF. Everybody else is bloody students, accountants, accountancy bloody students, southerners or pod people.

Well, I'm not any of those things and I still find time to spam so that makes me one of the good guys. So there nernernerner :p

Nice is acceptable. Canada is North - that's also acceptable. Just lay into the Moderators' Gang at every opportunity. And never cease in the fight for Oobie Doopbie and Warm Enema to be reinstated. Then perhaps Freya and the Blessed Irene Wilde will return.
