I do know many books that don't. Most of them are Stephen King books. Its a little better that way I think because then you have to take the time to read the first couple chapter to figure out what the books is about. Now a lot of the time you don't become interested in a book untill at least the first chapter is over, at least for me. So if you don't know exactly what the book is about then you take the time to find out.
That's just my opinion.
