where your books go?

going to move to another quieter place. find many books here and there. so, suppose, no one will take your books after your death, what would you do with them? or, if there are somebody you can trust to leave your book with, who are they? anyway.

A very interesting question :)

You know, I had not thought about that. Strange thing because, in a way, my books are more me than any other objects that are around me. They show my tastes, passions and loves.

I don't know. I guess if I had a choice I would just donate them all the the library :) That way, they have a good chance of getting to people that will enjoy them.

Ok, note to self, make will.

whenever i fly i update my will, so i've already given this some thought. i have bequeathed them to my Dad because i know he would enjoy most of them. if he doesn't want them, then he is to give them to my brother. if he doesnt want them then he is to sell them and do what he wishes with the money (he has a young child and can always use the money). i thought about giving to the library, but i am sure they have most of them there already.

Every book that I have ever loaned out has NEVER returned to me.... ever.
It's sad, but I'm too embarassed to ask for my book back.
I comfort myself with knowing that at least I've read it, and it's "stored" in my memory.
I also cross my fingers that my book has been passed around to many a person who would love to read a good story.
Hence, I've given up worrying about my books. As long as I've read them, I'm content.
;)

That's terrible that no one gives you your books back! I'm a mega witch to anyone who doesn't return books I loan. I hunt them down and harass them! I don't loan books anymore though, because they never come back in the same condition I loaned them in.

hehe. jenem, you are lovely.

was headache at seeing all those stufff. now it's gone. :D

have a marvellous halloween weekend, everyone.

i guess i would leave them to my best friend who also happens to be an eager reader and have similar taste, we usually exchange books without worring to return them, since i usually go visiting and go out of his place with a bunch of books, and viceversa

I've already planned to leave them to my dad. Though there are many of which he has duplicates, in which case, they are to be divided among interested friends and family members. A few of my favorites I'm leaving to my husband, just for the memory of me reading by his side as we hung out together on a cozy evening together.

What would I do with my books AFTER I die? Hmmm...Well, I guess there is only one answer to that question...I'd eat them. Yes, sir...every last one of them would be eaten after I die. Yummy, yummy books in my tummy.
