This is inspired by abecedarian's post about her cat sitting on her books. One of my favourite things to do when I visit my parents for a weekend is to get up on the Sunday morning and sit in a sunbeam or on the central heating, depending upon the season, with the broadsheet newspaper spread out on the floor in front of me. But my parents' cat will inevitably find me and spread himself out on the newspaper, making it necessary for me to either move him onto the page I'm not reading (he always knows which one I'm reading and sits on that one) or pull him onto my lap, which he usually likes more, but he's rather large and gets very heavy after a while!
