Hey, have you ever told me about artist Trevor Brown? I was at my used bookstore, and in a glass case, there was this book by him, "My Alphabet" or something. It was super expensive so I looked him up. He has some pretty weird stuff.
This is some info I found:
"A children’s book from Trevor Brown? This may sound strange but he manages to push everything just a bit more to the extreme. My Alphabet is a collection with 26 pictures (all in colour) for each of the alphabet’s letters. Every letter has an example of a word and a comment, like S, "Shrinkwrapped: It is difficult to breathe inside a plastic bag, so Susan stopped." On the opposite side there is a picture of a dead (sleeping?) Japanese girl in a rain-coat. It's at the same time beautiful and frightening. Trevor Brown’s art is very varied: it goes from cute, sometimes ridiculous, to nasty to eerie. As I read My Alphabet I'm thrilled, excited and amazed. This is absolutely his best work so far. Totally recommended."
