Could I get the PM that has your literary likes and dislikes first? I already recommended a book to beer good weeks ago but I don't mind doing more, I just need to know where to start.
In 6th grade I read things like Roald Dahl or Robert Newton Peck. I remember reading Peter Benchley's The Island and David Morrell's Testament around that age maybe a couple years older. I haven't read these but maybe you and he can take a look and decide if any of these would work: Neil...
Woodrow Wilson
Stan Lee
Edgar Winter
Denzel Washington
Patrick Rafter
Adam Vinatieri
John Legend
James Blake
..and numerous politicians, porn stars and at least one pianist.
I could never decide on a five that would never change. Here's what I came up with this time.
Mission of Gravity - Hal Clement
Hothouse - Brian Aldiss
The World Inside - Robert Silverberg
The Windup Girl - Paolo Bacigalupi
The Demolished Man - Alfred Bester
Easy on the entrails there AMC. Shame we're already half way through the season. Hopefully we'll get a good long look at how these zombies conduct their siegecraft before it all ends.
I've only read one of his short stories called The Testament of Magdalen Blair which I remember being mediocre although I probably read that six or eight years ago.
Yes, very happy. What a couple of losers those parents were. The indifference to their children's lack of food, clothing and shelter was a shock. So too was the strength of character it took from those kids to perservere. Outstanding recommendation.
Beloved - Toni Morrison
The Known World - Edward P. Jones
The Confessions of Nat Turner - William Styron
The Executioner's Song - Norman Mailer
The Chosen - Chaim Potok
The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
