    Atonement

I agree the film was visually stunning. I really didn't think the film was good enough to win a Golden Globe because the acting wasn't that great. I did think the cinematography was excellent. The way the whole movie was shot (especially the scene at Dunkirk beach) was eye-opening. I...

What are you listening to Right now?

Nice. Prince. Good choice. I'm listening to Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden. Yes, I still love that band. They never seem to get old, to me.

    last/next concert ?

My first concert will be on September 29 of this year at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Celine Dion will be performing. I'm not too thrilled to go because I didn't like her most recent album. I really hope she plays her earlier music.

    Opinions on the Books

Don't kill me, okay, but I really don't like the Harry Potter series or the whole pop culture obsession over it. I like to read "realistic" stories, so I'm not a fantasy or science fiction fan. Way back when the HP books started (and people were not dressing up in capes and black-framed...

    John Steinbeck: East Of Eden

I remember reading the screenplay and watching the movie in my junior year of high school. I'm not religious, but the allusions that Steinbeck makes to the Bible were interesting. The use of language throughout the book is beautiful (especially in the beginning when he describes the Salinas...

Margaret Mitchell: Gone With The Wind

I've always been compelled to read this book because it is a classic. I just feel intimidated by the sheer length of it. I like reading romantic stories, but I don't feel particularily interested in Civil War time novels.

    Patrick O'Brian: Master And Commander

Wasn't there rumored to be a sequal to the movie?

    Michael Crichton: Prey

Sphere is my all time favorite book and movie. Major question: Do you pronounce his name "Creeton" or "Criton" (ryhmes with "triton")?

    TV Theme Song

Does anyone remember the theme song from the WB show Birds of Prey? It was about Helena, Bruce Wayne and Catwoman's daughter, carrying on her father's legacy in Gotham City. The show only lasted a year. I think it was on in 2003. It goes like: "Running through my head, head. Everything you said...

    Thanks guys! I understand now.

    Any suggestions please?

Dean Koontz is a good thriller writer, but I would have to agree some of his novel are questionable. They can get very unrealistic although fun at the same time. Also, I would try out a John Grisham novel, specifically his most recent, The Broker. It has beautiful descriptions of Italian...

    Angels & Demons reference?

I don't know if any of you who have read this book would remember this, but in the middle of the novel Robert Langdon was talking about how Christ's birth was originally in March instead of December. He was refering to something about sun worshipping and such. I'm a Catholic, so I was pretty...

    Nicholas Sparks: True Believer

Does anyone know when True Believer will be out in paperback? They are cheaper this way and I don't usually get hardcover versions.

    Evanescence

I am so obsessed with this band! Amy Lee has the best singing voice I have ever heard. Even though they have only one album done, I listen to all their songs almost everyday! Does anyone know when their new album will be out?

    John Grisham: The Last Juror

The Last Juror I just love this book. It is one of my favorites of John Grisham's. If you have not read any of his books and don't know where to start... read this one. It is a good transition into crime drama if you haven't read any like these. It isn't all about the court room drama though...

Have you ever met one of your favourite authors?

The only author I met was R.A. Salvatore. I went when his novel of Star Wars Episode II came out. The thing was, I was never a fan of his and have never read his books. I was in a shopping mall when I saw this line of about 12 people. Because I love Star Wars and because I had never seen an...
