    Gregory Maguire: Wicked

I read Wicked about two years ago, and then re-read it in October when I was spending a lot of time at the hospital w/ my partner. I loved Wicked. I loved the play even more, I saw it in Toronto (with Carole Kane) last march and.... it was fantastic. I cried.

    Laugh Out Loud Funny

The Kid by Dan Savage. It's the story of Dan and his boyfriend trying to adopt a child. The funniest part of the book, had Dan worrying that no one would pick them (they were doing an open adoption) because he had a hard time picturing a girl who would choose to give their baby up for adoption...

    May Readings

Figured I'd just bump this instead of starting a new thread! I read: The Other Boelyn Girl (reread) - really interesting, though wildly fictionalized look at the story of Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII's courst. The Queen's Fool - this was actually slightly more interesting, because it...

Do you buy, borrow or take out from the library?

I almost exclusively use the library. My library has that awesome patron request website, so I can order any book they have and they'll ship it to a branch of my choosing and email me when it's there. I absolutely adore the library because in my current financial state, without it, I wouldn't...

Do You Buy Hardcover or Paperback?

Trade Paperback, I just love the way they fit in my hand, it just feels so write. I tend to lock myself in my bedroom with the cats, a can of diet pepsi and my pillow top mattress (which I actually sat in a "reading" position on before buying it) on the weekends, and trades are mush easier to...
