Veggiedog For Arthurian Legends, I know of two series that I found to be excellent. First of all there is Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy. I truely fell in love with these books.

Then there is the series by Jack Whyte. These were more on the "realistic" side. No magical intonations at all and I found them a bit longwinded. But good all the same.

This is the first in the series.
Sorry about the cumbersome links, I've tried to "insert" yada, yada, for me it doesn't work.
Oh, and here is the Graves link.... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/03...102-7665834-6598541?s=books&v=glance&n=283155
