    Worst/Most Overrated books

The Five People you Meet in Heaven---Mitch Albom. (I think someone had mentioned about it.) Forced myself to get through the first chapter the other night. (How painful was that?! :( ) The speech/words made me realize what a master of words was Umberto Eco.(was reading his Misreadings at the...

    The Seven Plots

Like that statement, 'no comment is a comment', I would say 'pointless plot' has a 'point' in its plot (it's getting you nowhere.). :p (just being insane.)

    Brainwaves and stuff

came across an article.... He found that one half of a couple who have a strong emotional connection - lovers or parent and child - can tell when something is happening to their other half although both are in separate rooms and cannot hear or see each other. Dr Fenwick hooked the couples up...

The Koan and other contradictory ways of showing something new

I liked this thread! It is REALLY good to hear what others' interpretation or some different voices. What I got from what bobbyburns said was that, as the writing kept going/evolving, the characters won't be the same as what the authors intended them to be or what they had once formed in...

Who likes The Sound of Music?

I have this movie on VCD, DVD, and moved them with me everywhere (well, everywhere is exaggeration), together with that movie Amelie, War and Peace. Sadly, I seemed to lose the ability to see it for one more time, well, I still could, but sort of fed up with it at the moment. Once saw...

    Making the Bed

Ermm, this might be too critical. Then I am sorry. :p Nothing was shining there, to be awefully honest. At its best, it was about a woman's lose herself for a second at the sense of a touch. At the moment, she was nothing more than a sense or a touch. The silky feeling was flowing through...

    Desperate Housewives

:) Okay, I didn't watch from the very start, so might not get the whole storyline. But, Libra, in a scenario, she struck her husband in the face?!! Also, she(Bree) seemed cold or indifferent to her son. well, might be the wrong impression though.
