Here's about a third or so of my shelves (it's easier to link, that way you get the large pic and don't have to squint too much ;) ): http://www.deviantart.com/view/29610371/
They are in a sort of order: I create my own trilogies or series where there really aren't any... :)

What was the last line from a book that stuck in your mind?

Considering this thread, I realized I have a lot of standalones to recommend:
Fantasy:
War for the oaks by Emma Bull - rock'n'roll and Faerie, but beware the descriptions of 80’s fashion!
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke – Alternative history regarding the history and...
I'm just finishing pt. 2 of The Black Jewels, and I'll probably run out during lunch and get pt. 3. It's not the very best I've ever read, but I'm really liking reading it. Ya gotta love a series where the heroes are called Saetan, Daemon and Lucivar... (and ya gotta love them  ). That...
I agree with Wabbit about the preaching, but at the same time that's a double-edged sword: If I agree with, trust and like an author, I don't mind them telling me how the world works (example: Douglas Adams :) )... but if they've figured out how I should live my life and they're here to tell me...
I took up playing the guitar, never having played a musical instrument before... but what started as a routine-breaking new hobby will, I foresee, become a passion :)

My old boss came into the bookstore today and asked if I thought he'd like Hesse's The Steppenwolf... Now, the thing is I've read it three times and I love it, but I'm so emotionally attached to it I couldn't really guess whether he'd enjoy it... He asked (knowing I read some weird books)...
I've been considering this, and in addition to (on behalf of the author) plain stupidity, bad writing and (on my behalf) good ol' being bored stiff, I've come up with two things that make me sigh and hide the book behind the bookshelf:
# My favourite character being killed off. At least if...
Today in Sweden starts the big, traditional annual Book Sale.
Every year, virtually all the publishers put together lists of the books they are taking out of print (and, lately, more and more reprinted bestsellers and classics), and they sell them to the book stores at low prizes. Most stores...
Can anyone recommend any good werewolf novels?
I've read and liked Charles de Lint's Wolf moon, and I've also read and shrugged at MaryJanice Davidson's Derik's bane and Kelley Armstrong's Bitten. Then, of course I've spotted the werewolves in Butcher's Dresden files, Huff's Blood-series...
All these suggestions are from the other thread, but ones that hopefully fit in better with what you're looking for (though I can't compare with Rice or Hamilton, since I haven't read them):
Sunshine by Robin McKinley
Lost souls by Poppy Z Brite (OK, there's some sex, but mostly at the same...
Sunshine
In addition to the many good books mentioned: Sunshine by Robin McKinley. Really great, sexy and scary, and kick started me into a vampire reading spree.
Also, in the same style as Charlaine Harris, Tanya Huff and Jim Butcher, there's One foot in the grave by Wm. Mark Simmons. Cool...
