    Random Question..Keep posting

Depends on the fair/amusement park. If the Amusement park has lots of cool animals maybe that, but probably Fair. I like seeing all the displays. As far as ferris wheels are concerned, I'll usually choose them over merry-go-rounds - it's fun getting a new view of everything! Though I will say...

    Michael Moss: Salt Sugar Fat

I haven't read this, but am interested to see what you think of it. Have you finished? It's incredible how negatively our bodies can be affected by sugars. I was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (meaning it was caused by my immune system and I no longer produce enough insulin) so...

    Random Question..Keep posting

If lime juice were I spice, I would definitely say lime juice - I can put it on/in practically anything (in addition to actually eating the lime slices)! But if we're talking strictly "spice" and not flavor.....cilantro? Maybe that's not really a spice either.......ugh. I'll say cinnamon...

    A psychological thriller

Welcome James! I haven't read many thrillers, so I'm afraid I'm not much help - though I did just try searching for it. :) I've sent a message to our resident Crime/Mystery/Thriller experts and hopefully they'll come up with something. *fingers crossed for you!*

Wow! Where'd You Go, Bernadette? must be really popular right now! I requested it from my library and all 38 copies in my area are currently checked out with 77 people in front of me in the queue waiting for it! I might get it just in time for the BOTM if we select it. :) lol

    Edmund Cooper: All Fools Day

I just read a summary and the story sounds very dismal....but interesting. Am interested to see how you feel about it once you've finished. It's on my "curious about" list now. :)

    My Father the Ghost Hunter

That kind of stuff totally freaks me out and I think I'd rather believe it doesn't exist, even if it does. ;) lol

    My Father the Ghost Hunter

No. I don't think so. If I had, I doubt I would still be skeptical. Have you?

A little (true) story you might find interesting

I thought at first you were going to say that you were seeing a reflection of yourself somehow and not realizing it. lol Very cool that you were able to have that unspoken connection with this great man. I really enjoy the way you write, DATo! The story has a really nice flow to it.

Here are (really brief) summaries for the ones I suggested: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith (First published in 1943) "...a poignant and moving tale filled with compassion and cruelty, laughter and heartache, crowded with life and people and incident. The story of young, sensitive, and...

    May 2014: Vote!

I wonder if it might be a good idea to include a brief summary here from the people who have recommended the books? And I don't see a problem w/voting for your own suggestion, Roxbrough! :)

    My Father the Ghost Hunter

I, personally, am very skeptical about the existence of ghosts/hauntings, but I have a friend who investigates paranormal activity like your father and is very much convinced of its reality. Definitely intriguing.
