I could care less about what movie critics say as I disagree with them as often as I agree. I haven’t read a single critic’s review of this movie but I did see it over the holidays. It wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t recommend it either. It was fairly blah. I also have never seen the...
I'm not too up on actors but do enjoy a good movie. When I first heard Heath Ledger died I didn't know who it was, until I googled his image, "Oh yeah, the Patriot kid."
I did NOT know he played the Joker in The Dark Knight and I watched that after I learned of his death. I did not...
It has been a couple years since I read it but I felt The God Delusion was...ok. Explaining evolutionary biology is where Dawkins truly excels, however. I'm an atheist so he was "preaching to the choir" so to speak with me and he did an excellent job of rebutting the typical theological...
I have re-read novels but it is rare and usually with more than 10 years between readings. When I re-read a novel it is usually one that I remember enjoying when I was young and just want to try it again, such as Lord of the Flies and Of Mice and Men. But those are also relatively short. I...
Good question. First, I rarely just read a book on a whim. There are so many books out there that I want to read that before I begin reading any particular book I have usually read numerous reviews on the book first. Still, on occasion I disagree with the masses.
If I am truly not enjoying a...
So I'm trying to remember the name of this book. It stuck with me somehow because it crosses my mind every couple months. So here is what I think I remember:
-A way has been invented to see into the past. I THINK it was by using wormholes. However, they cannot see into the future and they...
Favorite smell: my fiance's hair.
Least favorite: diarrhea from a parvo infected dog. It is the only smell that has ever made me vomit. I worked at an animal hospital for 8 years.
Ahh yes, one of the few downsides to the Kindle: living in utter and all encompassing terror. :)
I have a feeling my Kindle is a bit hardier than I give it credit for. I don't think it is a very rational concern because I don't worry as much about my laptop which is worth about 5 times as...
If by weird you mean outside the norm then, yes, you are weird in terms of what you read.
If by weird you mean "OH MY GOD!! FREAAAAK!!! RUN from the FREAK! RUN for your LIVES!!!", then no, you are not weird.
Read what you enjoy and don't worry about what others think.
Can't help you there, Revised, I have only read novels on it and love it for that. With regards to magazines do keep in mind that photo depiction on the Kindle is not its strong point. So if the magazines you want to read on it are not heavy on graphics it will probably do just fine.
Statistically speaking I think this vaccine is worth the risk, however your daughter is young enough that you can put the decision off a few years to put the margins of error even more in your favor.
I know everyone thinks their daughter is going to grow up and always be very responsible in...
No joke. I love my fiancé. I would take a bullet for her. If she needed a new heart I would tell the doctors to take mine. I would do anything for her...except share my Kindle.
The credit card I used is attached to a US address. I was overseas when the Kindle was delivered to me but I work at a US Embassy so while I live here in Cambodia, I have a US based mailing address. It is one of our little perks. So as far as Amazon was concerned I was using a US based credit...
From Quackwatch.com regarding Beijing Xishan Institute for Neuroregeneration and Functional Recovery:
I completely understand the motives of the parents. Even if there is no chance of something working a parent will do something like this just to be doing something. I do blame the "doctors"...
I got an email today from Amazon as a result of me purchasing a Kindle. They gave me five promotional codes to hand out. They have to be used by Oct 31 and only save you 5%, but hey, that is 18 bucks. So if you want one of them send me a PM. First come, first serve.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman (Disappointing for me)
Replay by Ken Grimwood (Outstanding read!!!)
Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama (Somewhat insightful look at his younger self)
