There are a few books out there now that have their own soundtracks.
Frank Beddor's "The Looking Glass Wars" series has a soundtrack.
The second book of Catherynne M. Valente's "Orphan's Tales" series also has a CD with songs inspired by the stories/characters.
Part of me wonders if...
The book looks like a trade paperback version of the hardcover. (The hardcover is a smaller size.) Has the same exact artwork and page numbers. Even the back as the right up's that you would normally see. The only difference on the covers is the label on the front saying "Uncorrected Proof"...
I am a member of BookMooch and got a copy of "The Cleft" by Doris Lessing. However, it's an uncorrected proof. I am sure it differs from author to author, and even further from publisher to publisher, but what kind of things can I expect? Is there a possibility that the structure of the story...
OK. So let's bring an old dead thread back to life. (I am going to try, at least.)
I have heard much about Mr. Carroll, and have read many of the plots to his books. They have intrigued me, obviously. However, according to Wikipedia, some of the books that I am interested in reading are...

"I, Jedi" by Michael A. Stackpole is also pretty...
Unlike most others, I have not read the book I am searching for. I saw it on Amazon about a year ago as a new release. I put it on my wish list, then took it off. Now I forget the title or author's name.
I do remember a couple of things that I am hoping will spark someone's knowledge here...
I am the same way. Though actually there is only one person, my brother-in-law, that I will lend books to. I am fanatical about my books. If I bought the book brand new, you can bet it all that even after I read it, it will look brand new. My brother-in-law is the same way, hence why I would...
Three words for you ...
Guy Gavriel Kay.
He is a fantastic author. "The Lions of Al-Rassan", "A Song for Arbonne", and "Tigana" are all great books. (And notice how I left the word "fantasy" out of that?) All three are considered fantasy, but probably can stand outside the genre.
I...
Be forewarned, he is a sports columnist. He is a very good writer though; entertaining when he needs to be, serious when it's called for, etc. However, his Sunday column usually deals with other items in the news or things on his mind.
