 Really? What kind? My last experience with spyware resulted in my laptop being useless. My old roomate downloaded Kazaa onto it and the whole thing just slowed down to next to nothing because of spyware and processing-stealing bots. But the Google toolbar has caused me nothing by...
I liked Fionavar, but Tigana was better. Mind you, they are both wonderful! It's like comparing beef and lamb, really. Beef is amazing, but you just can't go past lamb for pure succulence and tenderness... unless you eat buffalo...
We're just trying to respect the rules of the forum, which do not allow discussion of religion. I realise that people have different beliefs about whether abortion is appropriate or not, but for the sake of keeping this thread open we're ignoring that argument, and instead discussing some of the...
Mmm... I did pick up the Katakana pronunciation for Thomas, actually. But now that I think about it, the description of the facial characteristics at the very beginning makes a lot more sense now. I'll have to read over it again when I go home this evening.
Not even the right to know if an abortion took place? Does he have a child?
I don't know where I stand on this yet either, I should say. I'm just nosing out opinions.
As a popup blocker the Google toolbar is *brilliant*. It's also easy to see when a popup is blocked (big yellow star appears in the toolbar), and you just click it to allow the popup.
So is this book somewhat historically based?? This hadn't occurred to me... Please use spoiler tags if necessary. I don't want to have any details revealed :).
No, no. I agree. All I'm saying is:
I think too often men are left out of the consideration. A man may need assistance or counselling as well, and may wish to be informed of the woman's decision. Does he have a right to? Certainly if that child was born he would have an obligation to pay for...
I finished this surprisingly quick read last week and really enjoyed it. The Japanese style was refreshingly different in a fantasy-genre novel, and it reminded me a lot of the Kelawan world in Feist's Riftware saga. I didn't find the violence at all disturbing, and thought it quite tame to...
In cases where the kids are teens, yes, that is the norm. Where women are older, however, it can get ugly if the woman aborts a child the man wanted or expected. I'm not sure how the man is treated in the legislation, but part of the counselling process (that I keep calling for as mandatory)...
Ah, thanks! Sorry to hijack your thread - I'm sure someone has some information for you here. There've been a few threads on antique-like texts previously, from which I got these links:

Michael Leunig is a Melbourne cartoonist who has a cartoon in the daily papers and they are usually politically/socially oriented. He also has a number of books. Highly recommended!!! Though some of the references may be lost due to cultural differences/issues relevant only to Australia...
I think a certain right to privacy should be allowed, but it should only be given where there is a trained health professional involved. A teacher should have the right to hold confidence regarding counselling that a child may receive, but not the right to give medical advice. I don't think that...
Oh! Then who was posting about having a stack of NGs to get rid of? It was someone in the States... *Kook is too lazy to hit the search button and is waiting for lies to tell her to UTFS :D*
Aaaaaaaaargh! :p
