I choose my next book to read in many ways and for many reasons. I have a to-read list but I don't stick to it! Sometimes I'll just grab something to pass the time - and decide I like it, either from the librayr, or from the stack I've been leant that I am working my way through.
Or I'll go...
I'm the reverse to several people here. I didn't like the Hobbit particularly... it took me forever to get past the first few chapters and then, I, um... gave up. I didn't care what happened...
(I normally can't admit that in forums because I'd be seriously harmed...)
But I'm the sort of...
I've known about Gillian Rubenstein for a while (Lian is just the last part of her first name - clever, huh?) and I knew that her next book would be called "Across the Nightingale Floor."
I'd say that everything else she'd written is pretty much children's. But I love Galax-Arena!!! and I can't...
The author is female... :p
I don't particularly mind all the violence, but the extent of it is the only thing I don't love in the books. After reading all three in a row, it was a bit of an overdose...
I reread everything. If not all the way through, just bits and pieces. Books i really like I make an effort to sit down and reread all the way through.
I'm dreadful when it comes to rereading books, really... :p
Ooh, haven't seen that cover before!
I liked it. Across the nightingale floor better than the others, anyway. The extent of death did get to me after a while, but I thought they were really good, and I enjoyed them. They were different... interesting.
not my favourite series the author has...
I love Harry Potter - and not because of the hyp, or because everyone else has read it - but because I find it captivating, interesting and I like that style of writing. I can't wait for the sixth one, but I'm not going to be barging in to buy it as soon as the bookshop opens.
There might be...
I think both... I've read books that would be classified as romance that are basically romance because they are are about two people who "like" each other, and the plot revolves around that attraction. But otherwise it's a day to day romance. Especially in books that haven't been written...
I think she was actually 15-16, but the published decided no one would believe it... (I read an interview with her... I think I read quite
I really liked "The Outsiders". I studied it in yr 8 - and it was a welcome relief after the other stuff they made us read.
My friend's mum lends me books. It's great... and I don't have to be in a hurry to return them because she then just has to find where to put them.
I'll lend books to my friends, I guess, but generally I'm the one borrowing them. I'll on sometimes lend books to my siblings, but since we live...
I bought it for my brother's birthday, and haven't had a chance to read it properly - I sped read it...
It's good!
I'm furious about how dies, but it could be worse. Juliet isn't in it, but I think basically all the others are.
I think it's defiantely the last book, which is rather sad...
I really like romance in other stories, but I think it does need a plot in between. I will read historical romances, though. I agree romance is light reading! I will deliberately read a book with romance in it, even if the majority isn't about the romance. And I'll read historical romances and...
I've been wandering about reading them but I wasn't sure. Okay, will do. I doubt anyone has more them from my school library in years...!
I love it! (I'm in high school...)
I think the main books I've read that have anything to do with the legends are the Arthur books (The Seeing Stone...
I'm still in high school, and I know I'm still really reading teenage (and children's) books at the moment. I guess I don't really mind... one day I probably won't be as interested in them, so I'll enjoy them while I can. The "adult" books I've read have been more historical, and not written...
