    21 Grams

A bit dark and depressing but I loved the way the storyline was sequenced and threaded together.

I recommend any of Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child's Pendergast books (The Relic-Reliquary-The Cabinet of Curiosities-Still Life With Crows-Brimstone). Also F. Paul Wilson's Adversary Cycle or Repairman Jack books.

    Pictures of my library

Hey, Ashlea....what are your thoughts on the last few Wheel of Time novels? This was my all-time favorite series for a while, but after Lord of Chaos I feel that the focus has been taken away from the main characters and the storylines are losing momentum. Still, I'm not giving up on the...

Wooo-Hooo. New Robin Hobb Title announced

Hey, I'd be worried if Book Forum members didn't get excited when they find out that one of their favorite authors has a new title coming out! I think it's great that the new series is original and not linked in any way to the Farseer milieu. I'd like to see more Fantasy authors branch out...

    Sword of Truth book 7

I think I left off at about the same spot as Mark4583. I do enjoy the books, but there's a whole heck of a lot of other authors and series out there that are just as good. Or maybe we need Goodkind and Jordan to move on and write new stories.

tonight at 8 pm. Peter Jennings hosts a "serious" look at the UFO phenomenon. Anyone interested in this sort of thing? I plan on watching some of this, but Survivor is on as well

There will be Dragons, but what's next

I assume you're talking about John Ringo? Emerald Sea just came out and is a sequel to There Will Be Dragons. They are on my "Future Reads" list (along with another few thousand titles).

    Comic books vs. books

As a veteran reader of superhero comics I can attest to the fact that one can be both a comic and Novel reader. I no longer actively read monthly titles, but I will occasionally read a graphic novel or Trade paperback that collects multiple issues. Also my children and I watch the cartoons...

    anyone watching survivor?

Instead of singing her little song, Wanda should have just saved time and announced, "May I have everyone's attention please? I'd like to be the first person voted off the island!" And I've got to wonder if Jolanda has ever watched Survivor before, being bossy has historically been a quick...
