    Lynn Flewelling

I've read her Nightrunner series and the first two books of the Tamir series. My favorite book of hers is The Bone Doll's Twin.

    Paolini

I thought Eragon was a very good YA fantasy book. I didn't like Eldest as well as Eragon though.

Marion Zimmer Bradley: The Mists of Avalon

I loved The Mists of Avalon. A must-read for fans of Arthurian fiction.

    Gregory Maguire: Wicked

I thought Wicked was quite excellent, I first read it about 10 years ago, and have re-read it a few times since. I did read Son of a Witch some months ago, but wasn't too impressed with it.

    Charles De Lint

I've read a few of his books and have enjoyed them all. I like how he intertwines myth and magic with modern day people.

    The Gormenghast Novels

My opinion on the trilogy...Titus Groan was good, Gormenghast was great, and Titus Alone was not so good. I would consider Gormenghast as being one of my favorite fantasy books, an excellent read with wonderfully twisted characters and an intricate plot.

    Mythago Wood

I've read Mythago Wood. I thought it was alright. It seemed more directed to a male audience though.

    Juliet Marillier: The Sevenwaters Trilogy

The Sevenwaters trilogy is quite good. My favorite is the first book, Daughter of the Forest. I read it because I love fairytale retellings, and this one does a version of the brothers turning into swans.

    Sara Douglass

I've read some of The Wayfarer's Redemption series. I thought they were pretty good.

    Robert Jordan: Wheel of Time

I tried to read the series, but quit in the middle of book six. I felt like the wrting quality starting going downhill in book five and was even worse with six. I heard that they do get better later on, but I don't think I'm up to wading through the bad to get to the good. With that said, I...

    Elizabeth Kostova: The Historian

I was disappointed with it. I think because the description sounded so interesting, but when reading it is a tad dull.

What new TV shows are you watching?

The season finale of Big Love is on tonight. That is the only show I have been watching regularly, so I am sad to have nothing to watch now.

    Memoirs of a Geisha

I was very disappointed with the movie. In the book, the main character has such a warmth and humor to her that is completely lacking in the movie.

    Helen Fielding: Bridget Jones's Diary

One of the funniest books I have ever read. Definitely a good chick read. :)

    John Crowley: Little Big

This is one of my all time favorite books. I re-read every few years. Each time I find something new in it and something to think about. John Crowley's writing is just beautiful. It will sweep you away. :)

    Richard Matheson: I Am Legend

I thought it was an excellent vampire book. It didn't have a dated feel to it either. I think it is a classic that will stand the test of time.

    J.R.R. Tolkien: The Hobbit

I loved The Hobbit. It brings back so many good memories of reading it. It's what started me into reading fantasy books. :)

    Clive Barker: The Hellbound Heart

This is my least favorite book by Clive Barker, simply because it is so short. I think it would have been much better as a full length novel. The world of the Cenobites is interesting, wish it could have been explored more in the book.
