:D Indeed, he may have. You reckon correctly. I may be making judgements without enough data. I'm okay with that! :D I avoid her show at all costs! I do think she is attractive, and occasionally sexy, though! :)

people that can't read in cars>>>WIMPS?

Whimps? Well, if you consider an acute perception of direction, caused by the balance of fluid in the eustacion tubes, and nausea caused by the eyes and the inner ears sending conflicting messages of movement to an obviously over developed brain, whimpy, then, yes, whimps. Highly perceptive...

And she never misses an opportunity to tell the world how great she is. If she wants to help people, why doesn't she just do it? Why does she have to have a camera crew and a studio audience there? Why doesn't she just pick some random people out of the phone book and send them checks...

    Suggestion: Posts

I did not realize the elitist nature of this forum. saying that utilizing the "General Chat" area is "abusing TBF" is absurd and arrogant. And when did we appoint "inanity detectors"? I certainly hope that I never get so wraped around how serious I am that I forget how entertaining a...

Awesome! Thanks, Libre! I'll check him out. I have recently been getting into the Blues, and haven't delved into the folk stuff in a while. Just deep-in-the-gut, people music. I love it.

    Greatest Americans

My faux pas. I meant Andrew. Sorry. I recently read Dale's book and guess I had his name in my head. I have always associated US Steel, Bethlehem Steel, and Ford with the Industrial Revolution. Maybe I need to refresh my brain. Thanks for calling me on that blunder, Novella... :o

    Greatest Americans

Woodie Guthrie was awesome. The thing I admire most about him, as you have stated, is that he was unassuming and humble. Which may also be why it is so hard to find his recordings? Bob Dylan emulated him in his early career, and, in my opinion, along with Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and others...

That was Gerald Ford... who took over when Nixon resigned. Henry Ford, of Ford Motors, created the assembly line and helped fuel, along with Dale Carnegie, the American Industrial Revolution.

Memory Lane! We've come so far, lets see your 1st computer............

I'm sure you old farts remember this one... Compared to today's standards, they were overpriced pieces of crap, but I sure did learn a lot on it... I wonder what these college kids who think they are so great with computers would do without a GUI? I rememer writing batch file menu...

    imprecise language

In my small mind, clipping the "g" off of "-ing" and replacing "t" with "d" are regional, dialectal accents. I interpreted that you frowned on this sort of speech. My contention is that if we all spoke a stiff, "proper" language, the world would lose its flavor.

    imprecise language

Here is exactly what you said, Libre. You are saying that anyone with an accent is a dunce, or will at least be "grouped with the dunces." I am glad there are so many dunces in the world! If everyone spoke the "perfect Queen's English", what a boring world we would live in! I think I...

    Editing...

I rewrite as I write. If I feel I am getting too hung up on a particular part, I will mark it and come back to it. Usually, though, I can pretty much get through a particular scene or passage or event in a clip. Once I have emptied my brain, I save and go away. When I come back I start by...

    Is this forum falling apart?

in four months I have seen a lot of change here. I have made some good virtual friends, and have had some interesting, intriguing, frivoulous, funny, and thought provoking conversations. Sometimes in the same thread! Some of my friends have moved on, which makes me sad. The alternative to...

    what's everyone up to today?

Ah... That is what I meant! Had not realized her man was a military man. Ooh-rah! I think I understand the Avatar thing. I mean, I understand the reasons, and I am trying to figure out the meaning... (is it the negative of a tiger? A tiger in the dark? like I said... Interesting)

Interesting new Avatar, MK! And I'm not sure I "appreciate" his service as much as I envy it!
