New Amazon Feature - good for authors!

Yeah, that will be good. Though, I don't decide on a book depending on how many people have bought it, I still think its a good feature.

    The two Amazons

Oh I am sorry. I misinterpreted your post. No, I was not talking about the 'take-this-too;you-might-be-interested' feature. I was talking about exploring the book feature. And I agree with you the former feature can be really annoying.

    Ogden Nash: Candy Is Dandy

I gave it a thought and decided that this lovely book will fit best into the Comedy section. Its a collection of light, humurous poems by Ogden Nash. I discoevered this book recently when one of my friends was gifted with this book when he had a girl child. The poems are mostly about...

    The two Amazons

Funny namedujour, I think that feature is very useful. When I find a book that I am looking for, I usually like to explore into it. I read the few pages that amazon lets me read and get a fair idea about how the book is. Well, people differ, don't they :)

The Programmer. Chapter 1 *New Title coming soon*

I agree mehastings. I admit I didn't read it because the posts are so messed up. Mrs. T? Vishnu? Temporarily removed? Why don't you keep the old post as is and post your revised/rewritten chapters as a reply? My 2 cents..

Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime

Well, yes. I too felt bad for him. But, I sympathise more with his dad. I absolutely loved the ending. It ends with the right note.

Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime

Hi Ronny, glad you liked the book. I found the book was very sentimental. Considering that the narration is from a boy who has no sense of emotions, the book touches you. Isn't it?

    Ayn Rand

I have read only one book of hers - 'The Fountainhead'. I liked the book a lot. I am not particuarly impressed by her writing style, but I love the way she gets into her characters' skin. The way I picturise it is -- she dissects all her characters for us to see. The characters are so...

    Books and Intelligence

I want to add something here. I had a discussion with jay on _The Namesake_ and I think he had very good points to make. He was the one who pointed me to _The cloak_, which was a great story. Please do not pass a general comment saying that no one's interested in his posts. I _am_...

    Matured Forum = Less Discussions?

Well, yes, I have noticed this too. I want to classify the kind of topics into two types: 1. Discussion about an author or some book. In this case, I think I _should_ inform the thread-starter about the existing threads on the same topic. This is because I _assume_ that the thread-starter...
