    Jhumpa Lahiri: The Namesake

Thanks Maya. I will try to read it as soon as possible. I doubt if my local library has it! Good to know that you liked the book Ronny. Lahiri has a very different style of writing. I was very impressed by her writing style! The best think I liked about the book is its ending. The book...

    RSS feeds

It's not the ease of use I am talking here. But, accessibility. If there is an RSS feed, its like being online on TBF all the time. I don't have to remind myself to check for new posts. Its useful for someone like me who is in front of the PC for atleast 8 hours a day with internet...

Does anyone ever read these threads?

I don't think I am good enough writer to review what others have written. I am still takling in terms of reviewing, not criticising! I make sure I read what's written here and if I feel I have some good point/observation to make then I post. Usually, I am mute spectator.

    Good reviews v/s bad reviews

I found myself asking these questions a few days back. What is a good book review? What do you look for in a book review? Do you read a review to decide whether you want to read the book or not? Or do you read a review to know people's opinion? And how does a good review...

    British humor in books

Thanks for the information, novella. I hadn't heard of this book. I might give it a try because I like Wodehouse. You know what? I have noticed one strange thing in my friends groups. Either they adore Wodehouse or they just hate him. There is no okay-okay opinion. Either you love the subtle...

    Jhumpa Lahiri: The Namesake

I don't think so. I am not into movies that much. I keep re-watching the old Hindi movies, but try to avoid the new ones. And considering that its a Mira Nair (who I dont like and people just adore), I might avoid it altogether. Sure Maya. I will let you know after I read it :)

    Jhumpa Lahiri: The Namesake

Its being directed by Mira Nair. And Tabu plays Ashima. Me too. I read the first story in that book and loved it. Want to read the other stories too. Yeah, I want to read atleast the story 'The overcoat' :)

    I just finished reading...

Artemis Fowl I finished 'Artemis Fowl - The Opal deception'. I wasn't impressed by either the book or the author. It did come as a good change after the heavy 'Choke'.
