Well, I don't see how allowing more time is fair to other people. Since there are lots of people who go to use the computer at the library. You should be happy they don't charge.
I remember before I got a computer they only allowed thirty minutes, sure it wasn't enough time and I didn't get...
Believe me, I Have tried everything. A few months ago I found a book I was really interested in and read straight through (Ironic it was nearly 1000 pages!) then nothing after that could get me going, then I picked up a romance and breezed through it, now I'm stuck again. I've tried other...
I'm starting to have this problem where everything I read is boring no matter what it is. I'll crack open a really interesting book and then get bored with it about twenty pages into it. I think I hit a rut in life where reading is now boring to me.
I finally finished it, and my! What a good book, I loved the ending. I didn't expect things to turn out that way. It kept me guessing who their father was till the very end.
No wonder I haven't seen any really thick books out lately. I remember back in the days when a good book was atleast 600-800 pages long. Of course that was back then, now I can only go through the short and sweet ones.
Ok, now I'll be the first to admit, this book has been sitting on my TBR shelf for almost two years now. The thing that put me off was it's size, I seem to never get the time to finish even small books, let alone huge ones.
But I was deathly bored one day and needed a good book to put me to...
I've gotten about 250 pages into the book and while at first I thought it was a great concept for a story, now it's just turning into a tedious read. He seems to be repeating the plot of the story over and over again until it feels like it's bashed into your brain with a sledgehammer. The...
I finally got a chance to start "Haunted" and I don't think it's nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It's a very intresting plot line, but I'm only in the first fourty pages. I hope it doesn't go downhill from there.
I have! I loved it very much. Though unless you are heavily into Japanese culture, I wouldn't suggest it. I'm also told that the story isn't very historically accurate but since I'm not a history buff, it didn't bother me one bit.
I tried reading the second book: Autumn Bridge, but for some...
I read the book first, then saw the movie. It was great both ways, Scarlett Johansson does a great job. Though my complaint is that the Grit in the book and the Grit in the movie, seem like two different characters.
The problem with Chuck's books are that you can't read them back to back. You have to pace yourself. Read one then read another six months after that. I haven't read anything since Survivor a few months ago and I just found Haunted at the library. I'm excited to read it, even though it got...
I read "A Time To Kill" When I was young and enjoyed it a lot. I also read "The Rainmaker" a while back and I liked it as well, but when I tried to read "The Firm" I couldn't finish it. I don't know why, it wasn't that bad, but I got bored with it.
I've read Interview which I LOVED. I couldn't get through the second book, then I tried The Witching Hour, couldn't make it past the first 200 pages. Her books are so boring.
I agree, she painted beautiful pictures with her words.
I also thought Kathryn Harrison did a great job with her writing in "The Binding Chair", it was the first book I read after I got over my "Books are boring" stage as a teenager.
