I just realised that for some reason I have posted two different times on this thread. Sorry about that, but nothing has changed, my favourite character is still Raistlin.
:eek: you offend me!!! of course Ive read the Riftwar :D
Yes; you are correct It is called the Riftwar Saga (Magician, Silverthorn and A Darkness at Sethanon)
As for what I think of them: The Riftwar is my favourite fantasy series of all time. Feist outdid himeslf with magician and...
I'm a bit late with this one, sorry, havent been on much. I would agree very much with this recommendation; The Riftwar series (Magician, Silverthorn and A Darkness At Sethanon) is a must-read for any fantasy lover, especially Magician.
Goes without saying. In my experience "popular" fantasy, as it were, generally does not live up to expectations but the Inheritance books seem to so far. Eragon explores the dragon in great detail and portrays the bond between the main character (Eragon) an his dragon (Saphira) very well...
As I have posted here many times before: Im infamous for re-reading. My favourite book for re-reading, however, is my favourite book (go figure) Magician By Raymond E Feist...I think I've read it seventeen times now lol
I just bought Eldest By Christopher Paolini. I found Eragon surprisingly well written, It was given to me as a gift; its not normally the type of fantasy I would buy, but despite it's similarities to LOTR and R.E. Fiest's books, it was actually rather enjoyable, so I bought the next one. (now I...
I have been playing Pristontale a free MMORPG that surprised me in its quality and ,unlike most fre MMOs, the leveling up is a breeze. I have also recently played Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter, a sci-fi shooter. It was o.k. to play for a while, but it was full of naff sci-fi cliches and I'm more...
My recommendations would be Magician By Raymond E Feist and The War Of The Flowers by Tad Williams. Magician is brilliantly written and Feist's world of Midkemia is easy to get lost in, the characters are imaginative and the imagery is excellent. War of the flowers is, kind of, about someone who...
Thank you very much for your birthday greetings. I havent been on for a while, im in the middle of my GCSEs (I had biology examination on my birthaday :( ) But im going out soon to buy myself a new pda (more eboks. yay!)
Sorry, the Midkemia thing was a joke :D.(its the world where Raymond E. Feist's books are set, for the most part) it used to say "I wish" beside it, don't know where thats gone.
The area I live in is called Herdstown, its about a mile outside Donaghadee.
Donaghadee is on the east coast of N...
I would guess that that reaction was run-of-the-mill contempt, or as posted above, that person could just have been paranoid about things he considers to be unclean. However, if he had that attitude, he would not have wanted to go to the car boot sale...hmmmm...what strange behaviour.
I am a Keane fan!
Their music has a refreshing uniqueness about it. I didn't know they planned on releasing a new album, I will definitely buy it when it is released.
This is the way to approach these books, I cant remember clearly, but I think the chronological order is;
1.The Chronicles;
Dragons of Autumn Twilight
Dragons of Winter Night
Dragons of Spring Dawning
2.The Legends:
Time of The Twins
War Of The Twins
Test Of The Twins
for the...
