Hello! I am a book collector, reader, researcher, and writer. My preferred genre is literary fiction; however, I dabble in nonfiction (autobiography/biography, narrative nonfiction) if the subject intrigues me. One of my favorite books in my collection is a signed first edition of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood.

Did you get Capote to sign it or did you buy an already-signed edition?

I purchased that first edition with the signature already present on the first front endpaper. Thank you all for the welcome!

I envy you your first, signed In Cold Blood. I am a Truman Capote fan and have a few of his signed firsts but not In Cold Blood - they are becoming so expensive I am not sure I will add one to my collection. I am a great admirer of they way Capote uses language. He has a rare talent. Welcome!
