When I was younger I read a series of books, which were about 200 pages long per book, that began with a group of friends camping in, if I remember correctly, the australian outback. When they returned, they found that the country had been taken over, and all of the people in their town had been put into a concentration camp.
Over the series they managed to survive with their camping equipment and by making bombs, one example I remember was constructed out of a toaster, when found by the 'authorities'.
Can anyone tell me the titles of either the series or one of the books, as it's driving me mad.
