gah this has teased me for ages.. I found a paperback book while i was walking through a park in london.. it was a great book and it frequently quoted from an arab poem (one of the lines was "and may god wrap around me a shield of the coolest air") it was a very cool book and id like to get it again but cant find it anywere

Was it a fiction or a non-fiction book? I found the name of the poet, but when I tried to find books where he was quoted, there were all non-fiction.
