I never finished reading this book when I was a kid and forgot the title. It was about two teenage boys who were friends at a boarding school, I think. One boy was a natural athlete,handsome, and popular. The other was his friend, who was just "normal" and had jealousy towards the other one. I stopped reading where they were swimming or playing some sort of sport and the jealous one sabotaged the other and either caused his death or injury. Can someone help me with what little info I provided?

I read this in the 5th grade in our library club. I was supposed to pick out a book to read and explain the plot and my views on it. I read part of it but I decided to read another book, The Contender"(good book) and I didn't remember the title. Now I can finish this book after 16 years.
