Americans, vote Tuesday!

I'll be glad when the election is over.

That's everyone here, Revi! Regardless of one's political leanings, its a safe bet we're ALL heartily sick of this whole election and are looking forward to something else to talk about for awhile. Goodness, we might even find a book or two to discuss, who knows;)

My boyfriend and I voted early last week too. We were in line for what seemed like less than 5 minutes. His first time voting for pres., my third time. I feel happy as usual.

Anyone watch all the SNL stuff? They're pretty funny.

Husband and I both voted by absentee ballot last week. I will be so glad when the whole election is over, too!

Stewart, thanks for the extra redneck, we can always use one at the polls.

Even though my daddy used to tell us to, "vote early and vote often," I don't like to take that too far by voting absentee or anything. I enjoy showing up at my polling place and saying hi to everyone. It's just more exciting. To me, it's kind of like knowing the gender of your baby before it's born-personally, I didn't want to...

Speaking of books, I saw David Sedaris last week on his tour and he read this piece about the undecided. Best read aloud by him, of course, but funny nonetheless.

Well, see some of you at the polls!

He is coming up this way...to Toronto only.
Libra, he is definitely worth seeing. Very professional and claims to love his tours, unlike so many others. It may have been election madness, but the audience was so stoked by much of his reading. Plus he was gorgeous and understatedly elegant which, why not?:)

I always knew he was a fine reader, but I never fully realized his skill until I heard him read from someone else's work; then I went online to check out the author himself and the Sedaris reading was just much more interesting and understandable.

Someone suggested I start with Me Talk Pretty one Day,so I bought it and my son was reading it out loud to me and we were laughing right from the first pages.

He is touring again in April and I am hoping that if I bombard him with e-mails he will make a stop here...do you think it will work? LOL I have nothing to lose by trying so what the heck.

Well, I doubt the efficacy, but nothing lost by trying, eh? You must be far from Toronto, then, eh?...shoot darn.
