Anybody looking forward to 'Sin City'?

Sin City was super! Really felt like the graphic novel come alive onscreen. There's a scene with the red Cadillac that almost gave me vertigo! Rodriguez really hit it outta the park by having Miller do the storyboards and dialog, making the actors give the lines sense. During the last section of the movie, the suspense was clearly driven by the fact that you cared for the these hard-boiled characters.

It's been a long long time since I've been stoned, but for awhile watching that movie, it was like being high again.

I finally got to see it last night. Wow. As I said earlier, I never read the comic books, but I still really enjoyed it. It was very different both from a story composition perspective as well as the film techniques used. My partner was a huge fan of the graphic novels and he thought it did them justice in spades.

One thing I didn't realise was how violent it was going to be (the other half didn't mention that!). I just wanted people to be aware that it's not your conventional violent movie - very gritty. I'm not usually bothered by violence in films an I became accustomed to it as the film went on, but at the beginning I was a little uncomfortable.

Has anyone got it on DVD? If so, what cover did you get? I ordered it from Barnes and Noble which gives you a free pack of Sin City trading cards retailed at 5 dollars. Pretty sweet. :)
