Are there and Photoshop gurus here?

I have a project (very, very related to my forum shenanigans thread) I am working on and need the help of a PS guru.

Basically I want to take an image and reduce it to exactly three colors.

What format is the image saved in? Would you share the image and the colours you want (hex values preferably) and I can take a look later this evening for you, if you want.

I would like a non-lossy format. I normally do png.
