novella said:Let's break into Ms's flat and steal her stuff. I call dibs on the Hello Kitty fluffy pillows.
Motokid said:So Ms. you've grown quiet.....you wanted a discussion, yet you seem to have vanished?
There's plenty here to respond to, and answer for from your perspective. I for one would really like to know more about your justifications and thought process when it comes to the activities you've described in the opening post.
CDA said:You, Motokid, are a cheeky monkey! Hurrah!
Motokid said:It is not lost on me that the fleshiest parts of the ass are often times refered to as cheeks.....but I'll do my best to take these types of comments as complimentary.
Motokid said:That's theft. Plain and simple. You are a thief.
Your actions cost the rest of us honest consumers tons a money each and every year we are alive. The cost of what you take dishonestly is rolled into the cost of what honest consumers pay either right at the cash register or through insurance.
I hope you are lying for the sake of conversation.
Motokid said:What exactly gives you the right to steal the things that others must buy?
How do you justify your actions?
How will you defend yourself to a judge, and your family should you ever be caught?
Do you know you are a thief, or have you figured out some way of telling yourself it's all ok?
Libre said:On second thought, I'm agreeing with Motokid
Ms. - your behavior is appalling.
Miss Shelf said:It seems to me you're trying to start a heated discussion here, which is fine but I'm not going to join in. The actions you seem so proud of are distasteful and I hope you get caught someday.
CDA said:Obviously no one's perfect in every way. I have copied cds off people and all that. But as has been mentioned by Jemima Aslana , copying/downloading often leads to further purchases. many a time i have been given a copy of a cd and liked it so much that I've gone out and purchased it, as the copy either wasn't good enough (MP3 inernet downloads etc? ICK!) or I want the packaging and lyrics. And I know I'm not the only one who has done this.
But actual shoplifting? That's a bit iffy. I expect i nicked things from shops when i was a kid - can't remember. I know i used to filch apples from an orchard. But these days? no way. If I can't afford it, I'll go without.
