Are you ready for the world end tomorrow (September 10, 2008) when the CERN Large Hadrod Collider?

Doomsday sayers and predictors of the Apocalypse seem to think tomorrow one of three things is going to happen:

1. The creation of microscopic black holes which would grow and swallow matter.

2. The creation of strangelets which, if they touch other matter, would convert that matter into strangelets.

3. The creation of magnetic monopoles which could start a chain reaction and convert atoms to other forms of matter.

Personally, I think those people are full of shit but one way or another, we will find out who is right.

It's supposed to happen at 330am est. I've always wanted to go in my sleep.

Isn't it supposed to be the largest machine ever built at a cost of 10 billion?

This makes me wonder-what will I do during the last evening of my life? I'll play with the kids and tuck them into bed after our nightly routine. I'll then brew a great pot of coffee and enjoy it for a couple of hours with a good book, before going to bed and meeting the end of the world. I'll miss my staff meeting tomorrow, man, will the boss be pissed.:lol:
 
I've still got a few hundred books I wanted to read before I died. Better get to it I guess.

I think the black hole is going to start in 5 hours but will grow slowly over the next 4 years. It's the only logical conclusion.
