Vanishing Acts, Jodi Picoult - I thought Lisa Tucker's "Once Upon a Day" covered the same ground, but better. It's too bad I read Tucker's first.
The Night Gardener, George Pelecanos - I keep wanting to love this author. This mystery was good, but not great.
Goodbye Lemon, Adam Davies - Great story of family, grief, forgiveness and redemption. I really liked this little book and will keep an eye out for future work by this author.
Snow Blind, P.J. Tracy - The Monkeewrench gang were scarce in this one, but then I think a little of them goes a long way. This author has a scary good imagination.
The Big Over Easy, Jasper Fforde - Detective Jack Spratt of the Nursery Crimes Division investigates the death of Humpty Dumpty. Did he fall, or was he pushed? I sooooo love this author.
The Boy Detective Fails, Joe Meno - It took work to finish this story, because it was told more in the abstract instead of straight narrative form. It was like reading a long comic book, only without pictures.
Copper River, Wm. Kent Krueger - A continuation of one of the best mystery series out there (IMO). This one introduces a new set of characters while nicely wrapping up the cliffhanger from his last book.
