Hi all,
Back for the third time, hopefully for longer, i've been real busy with private stuff for the last year but i have managed to keep reading which is always important to me.
I've glanced through some of the threads, there are a lot of new users and i'm glad to say still some familiar ones as well. Hopefully i can get involved again as i really enjoyed my initial time on this forum.

Also i need some fresh ideas on what to read at the moment as my TBR pile is getting smaller.

Looking forward to meeting everybody old and new. :)
 
Welcome Back! (Strange, I'm suddenly hearing the theme from Welcome Back Kotter in my head!) Hope things are back on track..

'Welcome back Kotter' new one on me, even checked out the theme tune on 'You Tube' still doesn't ring any bells.

In the late 70's, Welcome Back Kotter was a comedic tv series, starring Gabe Kaplan. It was about a teacher who goes back to his old highschool in NY and gets to work for the same principal who hated his guts when he was a student. The series introduced a new actor, you might have heard of, John Travolta..I'm suddenly blank on the actual name of the themesong, but it starts out: "Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out.." Seems like it was a John Sebastian song..

You had to be a middle or high school student at the time...we got some terrific putdowns from that show- Now they'd all be too tame:p
