I suggest having a locked thread for book bargains at the chains or local stores. Provided people can follow a simple format it could be informative and save people money. When you spot a bargain that is available to others, not just a single copy you found on your own, you would post the date, book, country, price and store. For example a post in a Bargain thread could look like this:

Book: Jonathon Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
Date found: April 06
Location: Chapters/Indigo/Coles Canada
Price: $9.99
