For me most defenetly "tough guys don't dance" norman Mailer

it even sound better in french "Les vrais durs ne dance pas"was obsece by this title since i was a teenager-just read it recently

O amor é fodido which can be translated as Love is fucked up. That's a book I found out as a teen and always wanted to read just because of the title. A few years ago I borrowed it from a friend and finally read it. I was disappointed though, it wasn't quite what I had expected, but I don't know if it's because my expectations were too high or if it was the author's style that I didn't like. Anyway I still think it's a great title...

i usually find some of the supposed self help books quite amuseing (im talking and the sex in the city inspired nonsense that makes you feel like an insignificant waste of space, aplogise to those who like them :) just an opninion :) )

for instance
how to know a bas**rd from his star sign. utter nonesense with quite a humours title.

yeah ,alway wandered if by reading them you make lot's of friends, become riche,self-comfident....I have this image of my wife smoking a hugh j... and reading Allen Carr(r.i.p).

you know out of my 6 years working in various bookshops ive often wondered if the do work, i mean the amount we sell seems to say that they either do or they have brilliant marketing strategies. ive asked a couple of friends who do read them and one says they don;t help at all and the other says he wouldn;t know what to do without them.

personnally ive read a few and i think that the vast majority are just published to make a quick buck.

That IS a great title. I will check it out.

One of my own favorites:
Another supposedly fun thing I'll never do again.

The ones that I can remember off the top of my head:

Everything That Rises Must Converge by Flannery O'Connor

Me Write Book: It Bigfoot Memoir by Graham Romieu

I like Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. This title is inspired by a song by the Beatles and imo it really fits to the story of the book.

Heart Is A Lonely Hunter

saliotthomas, THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER is an excellent, moving story of lonliness, of being helpless in a community who doesnt' understand that you are in pain, about friendship and devotion and love. McCullers does a awesome job in portraying her two male protagonists in objective yet very intimate discussions about them.
The movie starring ALAN ARKIN is, too an awesome experience. One I would say don't miss.

I'd love to know if you go ahead and read or view and what you think.

ENJOY

Another Great Book Title

REFLECTIONS IN A GOLDEN EYE by Carson McCullers is a provocative and daring book. The title really has no direct connection to the narrative which covers: madness, homosexuality, mind set of army lifers adn their wives, friendship, and hatreds that slowly grow over time adn when it's too late to excape from them.

The film starred Julie Harris, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor. ONe of the best films I have ever seen.

Anyone know either?

Sorry to correct your French, but it's "les vrais durs ne dancent pas."

Trust me and my French obsession to notice.

As for my personal favorite title....I think I need to think about it a bit first.
