Biography suggestion?

I've just been invited to attend a book club with some other teachers and I'm kind of stoked. The suggestion for this month is a biography. I'm stumped. I don't read biographies, or autobiographies and just haven't a clue what I should read.

Anyone read one that is wonderful lately? I could use a bit of help.

I admire Bill Clinton. I read his autobiography, My Life.
Also I read a biography of Lenin.

It'll be easier if you read someone you like or admire.

Read Peter Sutcliffe's bio if you want to shock people. Disturbed man to say the least

Someone I admire. Hmmm, someone sciency perhaps since I don't have a leaning in that direction. Stephen Hawking?

Maybe someone INfamous would be better. David Koresh have a biography?

Peter Sutcliffe? The name is not ringing a bell. What did he do?

Sciency... Madame Curie, or Einstein, or Edison.
All 3, my kids read the children's version of biographies.
I took a peek at some of these, and Edison's had some interesting facts.

Then Curie, who discovered radium. Ultimately died from cancer/leukemia, from being irradiated with radioactive materials she discovered.

I enjoyed the Charles Lindbergh biography by A. Scott Berg. There were so many phases of his life. First, the young hero flying the Atlantic and the adulation that followed. The relationship with his wife Anne Morrow, an interesting person herself. Then the mysterious kidnapping of their baby, followed by the circus of a trial. His fall from public grace due to his alleged anti-semitic views during the rise of the Nazis and during WWII. Even his later life, when he was involved with NASA and the space program. Never a dull moment in the life of this very complex man.

I decided on, Memoirs of a Holocaust Survivor by Icek Kuperberg.
