My brain is swiss cheesed. I am stumped. I read some great little books a year or so ago and my daughter would like to read them on our trip. I can't for the life of me remember the Author, Title, or the correct name of the main character. Here's what I remember.
Main character is Bobbie Fay, Bonnie Jo, or something like that. She is a disaster magnet and everyone in the town knows this. In the first book her trailer catches fire and there are a series of other disasters. She has a niece that she looks after because her sister is drying out. She meets with an undercover agent in a car/truck chase and he becomes her romantic interest. The police chief of their small town is named Cal and he is her former love interest. He used to be a football star in the town.
In subsequent books, she meets with some super villain who is enamored with her. In the last book there is a bomb of some kind in a football stadium.
Clearly memorable huh? They would be a perfect beach read, but I'm darned if I can remember enough about them to find the stupid book for my girl! Can anyone help?
