Books based on isolation/solitude

A Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston is probably best non-fiction book I have read about solitude. It is story of hiker who got his arm caught between boulders while hiking in desert and cut his own arm off.

this author focuses on isolation and lonliness. its his main theme in his books. my favorite is the wind-up bird chronicle.

The Wall by Marlen Haushofer. It's also a movie, on Netflix, and the movie is also very good.
