Would anyone mind recommending me a book that would kept you thinking and would just make you have some sleepless nights because you just cant stop reading it

To specify:

The Books I Liked/Still Like: (The Best in my opinion)
:star5:

The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown
Angels and Demons - Dan Brown
The Lost Symbol - Dan Brown
The Sanctuary - Raymond Khoury
The Last Templar - Raymond Khoury
The Scarecrow - Michael Connelly

Books that are Ok: (Decent for my opinion - Still Good but not Best)

:star4:

The Last Oracle - James Rollins
Deception Point - Dan Brown
Digital Fortress - Dan Brown

Books I did NOT like: (This are the books that I just got forced to finish/read them just for the sake of not wasting the money that have been spent on them)

:star1:

Crusader's Gold - David Gibbins
The Last Gospel - David Gibbins

Planning to Buy Next:
Nine Dragons - Michael Connelly

or

The Doomsday Key - James Rollins

What do you think is the better one?

Note: If you have a great book that is in your mind and would like to recommend it for me, Please Do:D - I would gladly consider it to my "Buy Next" list

Edit: I have added a poll so if you dont mind, please do vote so I would know which one is better

Please and Thank you for your time and advice:flowers:

Books that boggle the mind? Chuck Palahniuk is always good for a right proper mindfuck. I suggest Diary, Fight Club, Snuff, and Invisible Monsters for starters.

You may want to try The Parallax View by Loren Singer. It's an older book that deals with a conspiracy centered around an assassination. It is quite different from the movie it spawned -which is a masterpiece - but very good.

Here are a few short stories -

The Swimmer (John Cheever)
Closing Time (Neil Gaiman)
Three Miles Up (Elizabeth Jane Howard)
